Quebec to keep secret dossier on "offensive mockery" of gays

Mark Steyn takes a poke at the thin-skinned homosexuals of La Belle Province, who will soon be keeping secret files on people accused of "offensively mocking" them or covering them "inappropriately" in the media:
I wrote recently about a small victory for freedom of speech in Canada, but, as always, it’s two steps forward, one step back. Here’s the backward one: Gai Écoute in Québec has announced the launch of the world’s first “register of homophobic acts.”
I don’t mind gay groups keeping a vast database of anonymously-reported homophobic thought-crimes if they feel that’s a productive use of their time. But it is preposterous that this sprawling directory of cobwebbed flamer cracks and swishy-gait titters will be publicly funded by taxpayers under the Québec Government’s “action plan for the fight against homophobia,” which apparently also includes redesignating Jean-Marc Fournier, the minister of justice and attorney general, as “Minister of Justice, Attorney General, and Minister for the Fight Against Homophobia.”
As usual with these censorious types, “act” is defined with the broadest of brushes to include “moquerie blessante” (offensive mockery) and “couverture médiatique inappropriée” (inappropriate media coverage). The right to mock and be “inappropriate” are about as basic to a free society as any, so nuts to that.
Oh for crying out loud. Quebec's homosexuals need to grow a pair and quit being so easily offended. There are plenty of protections in the Criminal Code and elsewhere to protect gays from actual harm without monitoring every newspaper and stand-up comic who threatens to expose them to "offensive mockery" and running to the police about it.

What a pitiful sight of people who take to be offended.
I can guarantee you that there are real gay people who don't go for this kind of BS.
They know that they are gay just as many are heterosexuals who work alongside very well.

Nobody gives a dam whether you are gay heterosexual black white chinese Indian or European; we ARE ALL in the same boat when it comes to survival.

NO GAY IS ABOVE ME JUST AS I am NOT ABOVE THEM.

" we want to be equal" is what we constantly hear from the gays and this is the treatment we get from them.

We don't have 'heterosexual pride nor parade day nor do we have a heterosexual flag nor logo so, where is the equality here may I ask?

When I was a boy I had to take oral steroids for treatment of my athsma. They made me gain weight and become quite fat. (I slimmed down as I aged & took different drugs for the athsma).

I was teased for being fat when it wasn't my fault.

When will it be MY turn to have people bow & scrape & lick MY boots, Hmm?

I getting fucking sick and tired of this "oh the pooooooor gays bullshit".

Quebec is the land of delusion... I'm just glad that at this time in Canada's history, and for the first time in my life, that we don't have some tribal Quebecer in the PMO dictating some crazy tribal social engineering scheme that essentially benefits only the Government targeted, pre-decided "victims", and costs everybody else. Cause you know, if there was a tribal Quebecer in the PMO this crazy thought police scheme would've been foisted on the whole country. Quebecers have "language cops" now they have "homophobic cops"... what will these "victim" searchers do next? Pathetic!
