Somewhere, Cole Porter is rolling in his grave

As if anyone needed any more evidence of the degradation of popular culture and the vapid inarticulate banality of the titans of modern entertainment, there's always rapper Eminem. In an interview with CNN's Anderson Cooper, he defends his frequent use of the word "faggot":
That word was thrown around so much, you know? Faggot was, like, it was thrown around constantly, to each other, like in battling, you know what I mean?" he asked, before insisting that he doesn't hate gay people. "I don't have any problem with nobody, you know what I mean. Like, I'm just whatever."

We've come a long way since the Algonquin Round Table.

Indeed a sad commentary on the quality of the entertainment industry and its political leanings in an attempt to destroy the culture. Is it no wonder that I do not follow or know an of the modern celebrities or musicians and watch classic movies only now.
Keep up the good work.

Are you f**king serious? The entertainment industry is practically the official spokesman for the gay/lesbian "victim" industry
and because one - !ONE! empty head rapper says the word "faggot" you have a hissy fit?

Oh you poor, hard-done-by, weight-of-the-world-on-your-shoulders, martyr. I'm certain there are terminal cancer patients in Canada and starvation victims in Africa who feel such pity for you.

Are *ALL* gay people & gay sycophants so self absorbed & self pitying or is it just you two?

What the hell are you talking about? I didn't once claim "victim" status or claim offense at the use of the word "faggot". I did, however, point out Eminem's, you know, inability to string a sentence together, or whatever, you know what I mean?

Jesus, buddy - go take a pill.

LOL Anon 2:16. You need to read Diogenes post more carefully. Not that it is important, but I am the straightest man you'll ever meet. I don't think that Diogenes was calling into question the power of the gay lobby or pink hand nor the homophobic content of the statement. I have read his posts in the past and he is as upset with the socialists (gay or straight) as I. I am pretty sure the post was about the quality of the entertainment. I'll take a "my sexuality is my own business, just listen to my music " Cole Porter or Johnny Mercer or whomever, over a talentless homophobe or heterophobe anyday.
