"I still like George W. Bush. A lot."

I agree with Andrew Breitbart in the Washington Times: An election-day note: Thanks, President Bush
I have a dark secret to tell before the election so that it's on the record. It's something that is difficult to say to certain friends, peers, family and, lately, many fellow conservatives.

I still like George W. Bush. A lot.

For starters, I am convinced he is a fundamentally decent man, even though I have read otherwise at the Huffington Post.

President Bush is far smarter, more articulate and less ideological than his plentiful detractors scream, and, ultimately, he will be judged by history - not by vengeful Democrats, hate-filled Hollywood, corrupt foreign governments, an imploding mainstream media or fleeting approval ratings.

George W. Bush is history's president, a man for whom the long-term success or failure of democracy in Iraq will determine his place in history. He may end up a victim of his own tough choices, but the cheerleading for his demise when Iraq's outcome is yet determined has hurt America and possibly set up the next president for the same appalling partisan response.

Read the whole thing.

9-11 was the first and ONLY terrorist attack on American soil during Bush's watch.

I am also still a supporter of George W. Bush.

Yup, I like Bush, he has been the President the US needed during 9/11. He made some errors, but overall he upheld America.

Paul is right. Bush is and always will be one of my favorite American Presidents.
Mr. Bush I salute you. You promised never another attack and you ensured that it did not happen.
Clinton had the opportunity more than once to eliminate Bin Laden but appeared to have been distracted and so failed which led to the 9/11 attack.
Mr. Bush you did not fail. Despite what the Democrats and their TOOL the MEDIA say I think you are one of the GREATEST PRESIDENTS OF MY LIFE.

I don't want you folks to keep like you are the only ones. History, when viewed from a future-tense, will look favorably on old G.W.

I Think he had one of the most difficult times to be president, and he got nothing but shite and abuse from all sides. But as Paul said... there hasn't been a single terrorist attack since 9/11. Look around Europe, or other western nations. Briton has had a couple, as have others.

What country is the biggest target tho?

Good on ya, Mr Bush.

GWB had a dirty job to do and has done it. It may not have been artfully done but the US is safer and every bit as free as it ever was.

Likewise, I think that history will be a lot kinder to him than the current media would have you think. Distance is needed to let the screaching BusHiltler crowd fade away. Think Harry Truman. Reviled during his final term, now viewed as the right man at the right time.

Why don't all you BUSH lovers pay a little extra in taxes this next year. Help the bail out, help the Iraq war, gas prices, food prices, people loosing their homes. Just throw a little extra of your hard earned BUSH dollars towards those they trusted your judgement in electing such a fine upstanding christian man.

Please, help us out if you really care. Pay a that little extra tax for us will you. Show us how much you are behind his choices. Throw an extra $100 in! Be an American!!!
